Parrot Owner Fined 5,000 Dirhams in the UAE

The Ras Al Khaimah Primary Court fined a man of Arab nationality 5,000 dirhams for assaulting an employee at a bird shop following a dispute over the sale of a parrot. According to the details, the defendant purchased a parrot from the shop for 1,500 dirhams. Later, he returned to the shop asking to return the bird and get a refund, but the employee refused. They agreed to display the parrot in the shop and deliver the payment to the owner upon its sale.

According to the victim's testimony, the defendant frequently visited the bird shop to inquire about selling the parrot, which did not happen after several visits. During his last visit, he forcibly pushed the door of his vehicle toward the bird seller, who fled inside the shop. The defendant then followed him and pushed him, causing the employee to collide with one of the iron bird cages and sustain injuries. The victim went to the hospital for treatment and to obtain a medical report, as reported by the newspaper "Al Khaleej."
