Arrest of Egyptian Blogger: What Happened?

Investigative authorities in Egypt have decided to detain blogger Mohamed Abdel Hamid, known as "Losha," to present him to the relevant authorities for legal proceedings and to enforce a 10-year prison sentence for kidnapping. Security forces from the Ministry of Interior arrested Losha, 36 years old and unemployed, during a patrol. Upon inspection, it was revealed that he was a fugitive from a criminal court ruling in Al-Haram for the charge of kidnapping. He was transferred to Giza's holding facility and then to Al-Haram police station to serve his sentence.

Blogger Mohamed Abdel Hamid Losha initially gained popularity through the TikTok app, sharing numerous videos on social media platforms like Facebook. He became well-known for his phrase "sticking to principles," often appearing with a group of individuals. His fame reached over 250,000 followers on Facebook and 5 million on TikTok.

Losha's content on social media received a wave of criticism from his followers who disapproved of his style and manner of speaking. Some users claimed that Losha's videos harm the moral values and principles of Egyptian society, with others stating he is teaching children bullying. According to Egyptian media, Losha has recently appeared alongside several artists, including actor Ahmed Al-Awdy.
