Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune announced today, Thursday, a wide-ranging ministerial reshuffle that included the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, appointing Ahmed Attaf as Minister of Foreign Affairs, succeeding veteran diplomat Ramtane Lamamra. Attaf had previously held the position of Minister of Foreign Affairs. A former minister stated that the change would not affect Algeria's diplomatic stance of non-alignment, according to Reuters.
The ministerial changes were published by the Algerian news agency as follows:
