South Lebanon: Intermittent Artillery Shelling and Targeting of a Cooperative

Tensions have once again overshadowed southern Lebanon, as the western outskirts of the town of Tyre Harfa have been subjected to intermittent artillery shelling since 8:15 AM today, originating from Israeli army positions located within Palestinian territories. Additionally, an Israeli drone conducted an aerial assault early this morning, targeting a cooperative owned by citizen Bilal Ghaith, which sells food supplies at the triangle of the towns of Tyre Harfa and Al-Jabin. The drone launched a guided missile at the cooperative, resulting in significant damage to the building and destruction of a large quantity of the cooperative's contents, as well as damaging nearby structures.

The National News Agency reported that the Israeli army fired several heavy artillery shells around 9 PM on the outskirts of the towns of Naqoura, Yarin, Al-Jabin, and Al-Dahira, as well as on Mount Al-Labouna and Al-Alam in the western sector. The area around Ras Naqoura remained tense and cautious throughout the night after ships appeared in the sea off the Lebanese coast, which were later identified as belonging to UNIFIL forces.

Israeli shelling also targeted the outskirts of Shehin, Majd al-Zun, and the northern outskirts of Tyre Harfa last night, as well as the outskirts of the town of Zbaqin. An interceptor missile exploded above Tyre Harfa. The Israeli army also dropped flares in the skies over Al-Mutla, and warplanes carried out an airstrike on Jabal Bilat between Ramya and Marouhin.
