Russian forces announced the destruction of the Patriot air defense missile system and the AN/MPQ-65 radar station with an Iskander missile in the Zaporizhia region. The "Novosti" agency quoted security sources saying, "We struck the Patriot air defense system and the AN/MPQ-65 radar of the Ukrainian armed forces with a strike from the Iskander system in the area of Huliaipole in the Zaporizhia region." Recently, Kyiv has been urging Western countries to supply it with Patriot air defense systems, acknowledging a shortage of ammunition for its air defense systems.
