The Northern Sharqiya Governorate Police Command in Oman announced on Saturday the arrest of two individuals on charges of assaulting a resident of Asian nationality. This followed the circulation of a video on social media documenting the details of the attack. The police confirmed that legal procedures against them have been completed. A video captured the assault, showing one of the assailants violently striking the resident on the head with a stick, resulting in it breaking during an argument between them. The widely circulated footage also showed the two young men fleeing the scene after the assault.
