Israeli National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir broke his silence following news that the Israeli war cabinet withdrew powers regarding decisions at the Al-Aqsa Mosque. In a post on the platform "X," Ben Gvir called on Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to issue an urgent response and deny the reports about the withdrawal of his powers.
"I expect the Prime Minister to deny the report that regarding the Temple Mount, he decided to be dragged along by Benny Gantz's conception that peace is bought through concessions and submission to terrorism, as well as denying the report about the intention to transfer powers held by the National Security Minister to the war cabinet," he stated in the post.
Ben Gvir's comment came after a report aired by Channel 12 on Wednesday, which mentioned that the Israeli war council had withdrawn powers concerning decisions at the Al-Aqsa Mosque from the far-right Minister Itamar Ben Gvir. The channel also reported that there are no restrictions on the entry of Arab citizens from 48 and Jerusalem to the Al-Aqsa Mosque during Ramadan.
