In a tragic incident in Egypt, a gruesome murder took place in the Al-Marj area of Cairo Governorate, where a young man kidnapped a child and hanged him inside an apartment to demand a ransom. Investigating authorities decided to detain the suspect for four days for interrogation regarding the hanging murder of the child, who was lured and kidnapped for ransom in the Al-Khusous area of Al-Marj.
The incident began when the Cairo operations room received a report two days ago about a 10-year-old boy named Saif who was missing from home in Al-Khusous. Immediately, detectives were dispatched to the scene, and through examination and surveillance camera tracking, the suspect's identity was determined.
**The Game That Killed Him**
The victim's brother, who has special needs, stated that a young man named "Ahmed S." asked his brother to come with him to learn an "internet game." Security forces arrested the young man and found that he had lured the victim and killed him inside an apartment. He had enticed the child through a "game" and took him to the apartment where he hanged him to obtain a ransom. The body was secured for the public prosecution's examination.
After obtaining the necessary legal approvals, detectives successfully apprehended the suspect and brought him to the police station, where legal procedures were initiated. The East Cairo Public Prosecution requested the forensic authority to determine the cause of the child's death and to prepare a detailed report.
**Confession to the Crime**
The suspect confessed that when he feared being exposed and pursued by security forces, he decided to get rid of the child and hanged him inside an apartment he had recently rented to carry out his crime and hide the child there. Investigations confirmed that the suspect rented the apartment five days before kidnapping and killing the child. After committing the crime, he planned to dispose of the body elsewhere, but detectives raided the apartment before he could leave with the body.
