The case of Moroccan artist Reem Fekri and the murder of her husband has resurfaced. The young singer has filed a legal complaint against her late husband's family, accusing them of defamation, slander, and false accusations, in response to the allegations made against her by them. Sources told "Al Arabiya/ Al Hadath" in Morocco that Reem Fekri "was waiting to find her late husband’s body before filing the complaint, preferring silence and respecting the deceased, despite the hurtful accusations made against her aimed at destroying her professional career in singing."
Through her Moroccan lawyer, Mourad Al Ajouti, the artist has demanded legal action against those who have defamed her, based on the provisions of criminal law and press law. She intends to seek financial compensation due to the smear campaign she has faced, which has caused her to halt several projects and contracts.
Additionally, the young singer has called for legal action against her late husband's sister after the latter made offensive statements about law enforcement officials in one of the videos that was released, in which she accuses them of manipulating the case and accepting bribes. Reem Fekri's husband was murdered by a criminal gang specializing in international drug trafficking.
