Qablan: The South is the Gateway to Lebanon's Sovereignty

During the Friday sermon at Imam Hussein Mosque in Burj al-Barajneh, Grand Ja'fari Mufti Sheikh Ahmad Qablan extended his condolences "to the leadership and the dear Iranian people due to the American ISIS massacre that recently occurred near the shrine of the martyr leader, Hajj Qasim Soleimani." He stated, "We will sacrifice and offer what is dear and precious to remove American and Atlantic influence along with all its takfiri cover, and the Iranian people are greater than the catastrophe; what is with God is better and everlasting. A response must be given, and the region is at war; partnership in this war is essential to weaken Washington and the Atlantic and its followers, God willing. We must congratulate the dear Iranian and Iraqi people in memory of the two great leaders, Hajj Qasim Soleimani and Hajj Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis, as their eternal lives have transformed into fronts of victory and resistance that disturb America and Israel."

He pointed out that "because we are in a war that affects the region and disrupts its balances, political forces in Lebanon must understand that the south is the gateway to Lebanon’s sovereignty, and what the resistance does is a guarantee for Lebanon, the state, its institutions, and the people in various aspects." Qablan addressed the Lebanese government, saying: "We must work day and night, confront the shameful shortcomings, cleanse institutions of corruption, ensure oversight and accountability, and eliminate flimsy excuses, as the public sector has become a farm, and the people are tired of this way of managing crises. Despite our consideration of the state’s financial reality, this government understands only the language of taxes, negligence, laziness, and evasion. A presidential settlement is needed to escape from the void and governmental lethargy, as a prelude to addressing the crises of this country."
