Russia carried out an air strike during the night from Sunday to Monday on the city of Dnipro in southeastern Ukraine, with media reports indicating a series of explosions. It was not immediately clear whether the explosions were caused by the destruction of air defense systems targeting them or if Russian missiles or drones were striking targets. However, the governor of the Dnipropetrovsk region, of which Dnipro is the administrative center, praised the defenders.
In this context, Governor Serhiy Lysak stated: "Thanks to the defense forces, we withstood the attack. Details will come in due course," describing Russian forces as "a group of terrorists." Approximately 15 explosions were heard in Dnipro during more than 90 minutes of air raid alerts.
