Ronaldo Returns to La Liga!

Real Valladolid, owned by Brazilian legend Ronaldo, has returned to the Spanish football league after one year in the second division, following a dramatic 3-2 victory over Villarreal B in the penultimate round. Ronaldo, the holder of the 1994 and 2002 World Cup titles and runner-up in 1998, owns the majority of shares in Valladolid, which had been relegated to the second division last year.

The team was on the verge of suffering its twelfth loss of the season but achieved a thrilling comeback victory after being down 1-2. Raul Moro opened the scoring for Valladolid in the 61st minute, followed by Serbian Stefan Likovic equalizing in the 76th minute, and Dani Tascendi adding the second goal also in the 76th minute.

Valladolid snatched victory with goals from Victor Andres Cavas in the 92nd minute and Senegalese Mamadou Sila converting a penalty in the 96th minute, securing the top spot and guaranteeing promotion. Valladolid's points total rose to 72, placing them first, just a point ahead of Leganés, which has not yet secured direct promotion and needs one more point, while sitting three points clear of third-placed Eibar.
