The New York Post reported that an unidentified man fell into the water on the first night of his week-long trip, with the ship only 300 miles from the port of Miami at the time. Immediately after the incident, the ship's crew began a rescue operation, assisted by 2,350 staff members onboard. The Coast Guard stated, "The cruise ship deployed one of its lifeboats and located the man, bringing him back onboard." However, the story did not have a happy ending; the man was found but in critical condition and soon succumbed to his injuries. It is noted that the Icon of the Seas was launched in early 2024 to become the largest cruise ship in the world, raising many concerns among experts who wonder if the fate of the "Titanic" awaits the "Icon of the Seas."
