Explosion in Chechnya Claims 5 Lives

Five people have died and 26 were injured in an explosion in the village of Bashin Kali in the Chechen Republic of Russia. Local authorities stated that all the victims were employees involved in the construction of a hydroelectric power station. They noted that the preliminary cause of the incident was the explosion of a gas cylinder at the site.
