Appointment of Judge Saghbini to Oversee Preliminary Investigation into TikTok Case

The Public Prosecutor Judge Jamal Al-Hajjar requested the Appellate Public Prosecutor for Mount Lebanon, Judge Tanius Saghbini, to supervise the preliminary investigations before the judicial police in the TikTokers case and the procedures before the court. Judge Saghbini had previously overseen this file during the term of the Appellate Public Prosecutor for Mount Lebanon, Judge Ghada Aoun. This assignment from the Public Prosecutor comes following the decision issued last Thursday to the judicial police, instructing them not to receive any directives or carry out any action taken by Judge Aoun.
