Warning of Fire Risk and Guidelines

Official entities have warned about the risk of fires in various Lebanese regions over the next two days due to rising temperatures. The National Early Warning Platform stated in a Facebook post that "the fire risk index shows a clear increase across different Lebanese areas, and this index will remain high for the next two days due to rising temperatures." They urged the public to "exercise caution and follow preventive guidelines, avoid activities that could lead to fires, and report any fire, no matter how small, to the concerned authorities." Meanwhile, the Meteorological Department mentioned that warm air masses will flow from North Africa, leading to a heatwave affecting Lebanon, with temperatures rising above seasonal averages. They indicated that Thursday's weather will be sunny, with temperatures reaching up to 40 degrees Celsius in some areas.
