Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak stated today, Tuesday, that "Russia will reintroduce the ban on gasoline exports starting August 1, and it is considering extending the restrictions until autumn." Russia had banned gasoline exports for six months starting March 1, but exempted an economic union led by Moscow and some countries linked by direct government agreements for fuel supplies, such as Mongolia. The ban was imposed to avoid fuel shortages and halt rising prices, following a series of drone attacks on refineries as well as technical failures.
