How Much Will the Champions League Winner Earn?

Real Madrid will face Borussia Dortmund next Saturday, June 1, for the coveted Champions League title for the 2023-24 season, in the final match held at Wembley Stadium in the heart of London. By reaching the big final, each team is already guaranteed to receive €15.5 million, and the winning team will add €4.5 million, bringing the Champions League winner's total to €20 million in prize money from the final alone.

Additionally, the winner will receive another prize in the form of participation in the UEFA Super Cup on Wednesday, August 14, 2024, where Dortmund or Real Madrid will compete against the UEFA Europa League champion Atalanta of Italy, who defeated Bayer Leverkusen in the final and ended Xabi Alonso's historic 51-match unbeaten streak.

Reaching the UEFA Super Cup final, which will take place at the national stadium in Warsaw, the capital of Poland, means obtaining an additional income of €3.5 million for each finalist, plus another million for winning it. Last year's UEFA Super Cup saw Manchester City, led by Pep Guardiola, triumph over Sevilla in a penalty shootout after a 1-1 draw at the Georgios Karaiskakis Stadium in Greece, with the English club earning €4.5 million for this victory, which added to the €134.9 million they received from all of their Champions League appearances last season.

Last season, Real Madrid was eliminated in the semi-finals of the Champions League, specifically by the "Citizens," ending the "Merengue" club's run with a total earning of €118 million from all their matches, a figure that they will significantly exceed this season after already reaching the Champions League final.
