An Egyptian source highlighted that Egypt's respect for its international obligations and treaties does not preclude it from using all available scenarios to safeguard its national security and uphold the historical rights of the Palestinian people, as reported by "Cairo News."
A senior Egyptian official confirmed that reports circulating in the Israeli media about any form of joint coordination with Israel regarding its military operation in Palestinian Rafah are not true. "Cairo News" quoted the source stating that Egypt has warned Israel about the repercussions of escalation in the Gaza Strip and has rejected any coordination with Israel concerning the Rafah crossing.
The source pointed out that "Israeli media deliberately spreads false news to distract from the state of confusion that Israel is experiencing internally." The senior official emphasized that "Egypt's stance against Israeli aggression has been steadfast from the very beginning, placing Egyptian national security and the rights of the Palestinian people at the forefront of its priorities."
Earlier on Saturday, Egypt affirmed the necessity for Israel to comply with its obligations as "the occupying power" by opening all land crossings between Israel and the Gaza Strip, ensuring safe and unhindered access for humanitarian and relief aid to Gaza. Egypt also stressed the importance of Israel respecting and protecting humanitarian workers, refraining from targeting the premises of international relief agencies, and ensuring the free movement of relief personnel in Gaza.
