Al-Sheikh announced via his official account on the "X" platform, stating: "Riyadh Season and Al-Hilal... Coming soon," without disclosing further details about the event. However, many of his followers speculated that the club might play a friendly match during the Riyadh Season against one of the global teams in the near future. Other followers questioned the absence of other events related to Al-Nassr Club.
Al-Hilal previously participated in the Riyadh Season Cup twice; the first time was with a mixed team of Al-Nassr and Al-Hilal players against Paris Saint-Germain on January 19, 2023, which ended in a 5-4 win for the Parisian club. Al-Hilal then participated in the second edition of the Riyadh Cup this year on February 1, facing Inter Miami and rivals Al-Nassr. In the final match, Al-Hilal defeated Al-Nassr 2-0 to win the title of the second edition of the tournament.
