Hebrew media revealed today, Sunday, the opening of a new maritime shipping line between Israel and Egypt. The Israeli news site "port2port," specialized in transport and logistics, reported that "Medcon Lines," a shipping company, decided to launch this new shipping route "to facilitate shipping operations between Egypt and Israel." The Hebrew site disclosed that "the company has opened two new lines; the first will operate between the Italian port of 'Ravenna' and the port of Alexandria in Egypt, as well as the ports of Ashdod and Haifa in Israel, while the second shipping line will operate directly between Egyptian and Israeli ports."
The site clarified that "container ships will operate on both lines from Egypt and Israel." According to the official website of "Pan Marine Group," a diverse and independent Egyptian institution that owns "Medcon Lines," this company is one of the Egyptian group’s companies that has been active in the Egyptian market for more than forty-five years. The group possesses five companies: (Pan Marine for Shipping Services), (Pan Marine for Petroleum Services), (Pan Marine for Logistics Services), (Medcon Lines Egypt LLC), and (Pan for Marine Supplies).
The group stated on its official website that it "strives to establish valuable business relationships worldwide." The ownership of the Egyptian "Pan Marine" shipping group belongs to Egyptian businessmen, and it was established in 1978, with its headquarters located in Alexandria, where the company is active in the shipping of food products.
