Baghdad: 15 Arrested on "Various Crimes"

The Iraqi Ministry of Interior announced today, Saturday, the "arrest of 15 individuals on various legal charges in the capital Baghdad." The ministry's statement mentioned that "the security efforts of the Federal Police units, in cooperation with intelligence forces in their areas of responsibility, resulted in the arrest of 15 individuals charged with legal offenses (drugs, intentional assault, brawling, trespassing on public property, smuggling of oil derivatives, extortion) in areas including (Shati al-Taji, Al-Shu'la, Hay al-Batoul, Al-Saadoun Street, Al-Karada, Al-Obeidi, Al-Zafarania, Diyala Bridge)." It was noted that "the arrested individuals were duly referred to the competent authorities."
