Kremlin: Putin Has No Plans to Communicate with Trump

The Kremlin stated on Monday that "Russian President Vladimir Putin has not communicated with Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump following the assassination attempt he faced and has no plans to do so." In response to a question about whether security measures around Putin would be enhanced, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said the Russian leader has an appropriate level of protection and that all necessary measures are being taken. The Kremlin mentioned on Sunday that it does not believe the U.S. administration is responsible for the assassination attempt on Trump that occurred on Saturday, but it accused it of creating an atmosphere that led to the incident.
