Bayern Munich has provided a service to Real Madrid amid the latter's efforts to sign Canadian international Alfonso Davies, the left-back of the Bavarian team, whose contract with his club expires next summer, according to a Spanish press report.
According to the newspaper "AS," Bayern Munich has withdrawn its latest offer to renew Davies' contract, which included a salary ranging between 14 and 16 million euros, as the German giant is now open to the departure of its player this summer.
The newspaper noted that Bayern recently signed Michael Olise for 53 million euros and acquired Joao Palhinha for 51 million euros, indicating that they need to raise funds by selling some players, with Davies being one of the most notable.
"AS" reported that Real Madrid is waiting for Davies to finish his journey with the Canadian national team in the Copa America to continue negotiations for his signing. The royal club may also open the door for the departure of its left-back, Ferland Mendy, if a good offer comes in.
