Beijing announced on Friday that Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi will meet with U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken on the sidelines of an ASEAN (Association of Southeast Asian Nations) meeting in Laos. Chinese Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Mao Ning clarified during a press conference that the two ministers "will exchange views on issues of mutual interest," without specifying the date of the meeting.
