Weather Report from Saudi Arabia: What Was Clarified?

The National Center of Meteorology in Saudi Arabia forecasted in its weather report for Sunday that the weather will be hot to very hot in parts of the Makkah, Madinah, Al-Qassim, Riyadh, and Eastern regions. There is still a chance for the formation of rainy thunderclouds accompanied by active winds in parts of the highlands of Jazan, Asir, Al-Baha, Makkah, and Madinah, extending to parts of the Hail region. Meanwhile, the effects of active winds stirring up dust and sand will continue in parts of the regions of Tabuk, Al-Jouf, and the Northern Borders.

The report indicated that the surface wind movement over the Red Sea would be from the west to northwest at a speed of 20-40 km/h in the northern part, and from the southwest to northwest at a speed of 10-35 km/h in the middle and southern parts, where wind speeds could reach up to 50 km/h with the formation of thunderclouds in the southern part. Wave heights will range from one meter to one and a half meters in the northern and middle parts, and from half a meter to one meter reaching up to two and a half meters with the formation of thunderclouds in the southern part. The sea condition will be light to moderate in wave height in the northern and middle parts and light to choppy with the formation of thunderclouds in the southern part.

In contrast, the surface wind movement over the Arabian Gulf will be from the southeast to northeast at a speed of 10-30 km/h, with wave heights ranging from half a meter to one meter, and the sea condition will be lightly wavy.
