Inspection Reports Against a Butchery and a Confectionery in Nabatieh

Inspectors from the Ministry of Economy and Trade - Consumer Protection Directorate in the Nabatieh Governorate continued their inspection rounds on the eve of the Eid al-Adha holiday, with the presence and follow-up of the Directorate's head, Mohamed Bitar, and support from members of the State Security apparatus - the regional directorate in Nabatieh. Inspections were conducted in butcheries, confectioneries, and shops selling meat and poultry, as well as fish in neighborhoods and markets in the city of Nabatieh and the towns of Sarba, Haboush, Arab Salim, Nabatieh Fawqa, and the town of Hasbaya.

They issued two reports: one against the owner of a butchery in Arab Salim for failing to comply with food safety standards, who signed a commitment to correct the violation under the threat of having the butchery closed off with a red seal if the infringement recurs; and another against the owner of a confectionery in Nabatieh for not displaying prices on the merchandise presented in the store, despite having been previously warned. Written warnings were also issued to some for the necessity of adhering to the laws issued by the relevant ministries, under the threat of issuing reports and closing down the establishments if necessary.
