Syria Condemns Israeli Approval of New Settlements in the West Bank

Syria condemned today, Tuesday, the "approval by the so-called Israeli Security Cabinet to legislate the establishment of 5 settlement outposts in the West Bank." The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates stated in a statement: "The Israeli entity proves day after day that it pays no attention to international law and deliberately disregards relevant Security Council resolutions." It added: "Syria affirms that the acts of genocide and the expansion in settlement construction carried out by the occupation could not have happened without the protection provided by Washington." The Foreign Ministry called on "the United Nations and the Security Council to assume their responsibilities to stop the crimes of the Zionist entity and end all forms of occupation and settlement."
