Barcelona Ties Its Talent with a New Contract

The management of FC Barcelona announced today, Friday, that they have secured their talent with a new contract extending until the summer of 2028. The official Barcelona account on the platform "X" posted a photo of Marc Casado, the captain of the reserve team, at the moment he signed his new contract with the club alongside Joan Laporta, the president of Barça.

Spanish newspaper "Mundo Deportivo" reported that Casado, whose contract with Barcelona was set to end at the end of June, decided to stay with the Catalan team and signed a contract for the next four years.

The newspaper indicated that Hans Flick, the new head coach of Barcelona, has been studying the reserve team closely and took the opportunity to observe their training sessions and exchange impressions with Rafa Márquez, the reserve team's coach. The German coach inquired about Casado's character, whom Márquez considers the most reliable player in the team.

Márquez had relied heavily on Casado, who participated in 30 matches, all of which he started, while being listed in the first team for 21 matches in La Liga but only played in two of them.
