Magazine "Security": Your Path... The Path of Truth Awaits the New Era

Magazine

The latest issue of the magazine "Security," published by the General Directorate of Internal Security Forces, has been released, featuring a salute to the officers and personnel of the institution devoted to security and safety. The editorial, titled "Your Path... The Path of Truth," states: "People ask: How do you continue? Forgetting that you have sworn to serve and give. They wonder how you rush to help and how you court danger, forgetting that you have dedicated yourselves to the homeland and its people. This year, the holiday comes as conditions waver between caution and fear. The holiday arrives while the void persists, the political crisis escalates, and security developments are worrying. But there is no fear for the fate, for you are always ready. There is no fear for the homeland because its cedars adorn your foreheads. Walk your path, the path of truth, for it is the way to a bright tomorrow. Walk on, and do not be distracted by chatter or stop at deceits. Walk with your heads held high like the grandeur of the mountains. Continue in struggle and giving... for you are the last refuge."

The editor-in-chief, Brigadier General Charbel Frem, wrote in "Until We Meet Again" about the new era, stating: "We await salvation like one waiting for their first love. Like one anticipating the first rain after dryness. Our lives are suspended by the strings of time that passes quickly. Our dreams are corpses strewn in the streets of darkness. We await salvation while fatigue has overcome the wait. We await salvation silently after a fracture. We have waited long for a promised tomorrow. We have waited long for the light of a tunnel. We count the days, we count the promises, we count the words. We count friends who did not emigrate. We count loved ones who did not leave. We await the end of the farce that has dragged on. We are tired of laughing at our pains and calamities. We are tired of laughing at the passing of our years. We are bored with the same faces on the same stage. But our small farces are a scene from the larger farce. The farce will not end. The scene will conclude, and another scene will begin. A new scene and a new time. We will remain spectators glued to our seats and have no say in the ending. We have only the freedom of viewing. We have only the freedom of waiting. We await what the new scene holds for us. We await how the new time will be."
