On Tuesday, UAE President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan received the ten individual winners of the "Nafoos" award in its second edition for 2023-2024 at Al Bahar Palace in Abu Dhabi. On this occasion, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed congratulated the winners and wished them success in continuing their excellence. He also expressed his gratitude and appreciation for the efforts of the partners in supporting the objectives of the Emirati Talent Competitiveness Council "Nafoos" and the country's vision regarding localization goals in the private sector.

He exchanged conversations with the winners and listened to explanations about their experiences and success stories in the private sector, along with their achievements and initiatives that qualified them to win the award. The UAE President emphasized the leadership's commitment to encouraging national talents to continue their excellence in the private sector across various fields and professional specializations, which enhances their role in this important sector and contributes to driving sustainable economic development in the country. He also stressed the need to motivate private enterprises that contribute to enhancing the participation of Emirati professionals and establishing a culture of excellence and competition in the labor market, while appreciating the efforts of these institutions in supporting the leadership's initiatives regarding localization.

He stated that the roles of the government and private sectors are complementary, explaining that the private sector is an important contributor to the state's economy and a key partner in realizing its ambitious developmental vision and enhancing the framework of its national economy.

Ghanem Bati Al Mazrouei, Secretary-General of the Emirati Talent Competitiveness Council, provided an overview of several council programs and projects, which included the "Nafoos" award, its categories, and the evaluation and selection stages of winners in the second edition of the award, in the presence of several council officials.

For their part, the winners expressed their happiness at meeting the UAE President, affirming their commitment to continuing their pursuit of excellence to achieve the leadership's vision and aspirations in empowering youth in the private sector. The award aims to honor distinguished citizens working in the private sector, as well as private entities registered with the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratization and the Central Bank of the UAE, which have demonstrated a commitment to investing in Emirati national talents.
