The UAE Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan chaired the second meeting of the steering committee regarding the UAE's participation in the G20 (2024) activities. The meeting, held via videoconference, included several ministers and officials from various state entities participating in different groups and working streams of the G20.
Participants reviewed the developments regarding the UAE's participation as a guest in the G20 meetings and discussed the country's involvement in the upcoming ministerial meetings of the group.
Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan praised the efforts of the entities representing the UAE in the G20, emphasizing the importance of effective participation in all stages and areas of the group's work, which reflects the UAE's strong commitment to multilateral work and international cooperation.
He reiterated the importance of working with a united team spirit and showcasing the achievements of the UAE within the framework of its participation in the G20 activities. It is noteworthy that the UAE is participating in the G20 as a guest for the third consecutive year and the fifth time since the establishment of the group.
