The Lebanese actor Nikola Mawaad has achieved significant success after the creative works of Lebanese director and actress Nadine Labaki, making headlines in foreign press and websites.
His Hollywood film "His Only Son," in which he stars, has broken records in crowdfunding by attracting a large number of investors. In this context, the distribution company "Angel Studios" stated that this is the first time in the history of the entertainment industry that a film release of this magnitude has been funded. The company’s CEO, Neal Harmon, explained that the film garnered the highest funding levels ever.
The film, which tells the story of the prophet Abraham, will be shown in over 2,000 theaters in the United States starting March 31 and will be available in all cinemas in Lebanon on April 6, coinciding with Easter.
In this context, Mawaad shared headlines from foreign newspapers discussing his success in the film, along with a picture of him from the film, captioned: "I couldn't be happier. And I couldn't be more grateful."
It is worth mentioning that Mawaad was chosen to play the role of the prophet Abraham from among thousands of global actors who auditioned for the part. The globally recognized Iranian actress Sara Syed plays the leading role alongside him.
