Residents of the Jordanian capital, Amman, woke up to a gruesome crime after a Syrian national killed his two brothers and then took his own life by jumping from the Abdoun Bridge in the city center.
The media spokesperson for the Jordanian Public Security Directorate, Colonel Amer Al-Sartawi, stated that a report was received on Sunday morning by the South Amman Police Department, indicating that an Arab individual (of Syrian nationality) had killed two of his siblings with a sharp object and seriously injured a third brother before fleeing the premises in an unknown direction.
The spokesperson added that the crime scene was investigated, the bodies were removed, and the injured sibling was taken to the hospital. At the same time, a report came in about an individual committing suicide after jumping from the Abdoun Bridge. It was later confirmed that the deceased was the same person who had committed the murder of his brothers, and investigations are ongoing.
