Nice suffered a 3-1 defeat away from home as the team struggled to maintain defensive stability during their match against Le Havre in Ligue 1 on Saturday. Nice currently sits in second place with 32 points, while leaders Paris Saint-Germain will have the opportunity to extend their lead to more than four points when they face Lille on Sunday. Le Havre is in ninth place with 19 points.
Emmanuel Sabi opened the scoring for Le Havre just five minutes into the match, capitalizing on a rebound from Nice goalkeeper Marcin Bulka. The same player doubled the score with a direct shot from a difficult angle ten minutes before halftime.
Things worsened for the visiting team when Mohamed Bayo scored a penalty six minutes into the second half after Loïc Nego was fouled by Melvin Bard.
In the closing minutes of the match, a scuffle broke out, resulting in red cards for Le Havre's Samuel Grandsir and Nice's Jean-Clair Tobido. Nice managed to score their only goal in stoppage time when Tom Luchie received a cross and found the net from close range.
