Can Lebanon Withstand a Medical Crisis if War Expands?

The President of the Syndicate of Private Hospitals in Beirut, Suleiman Haroun, announced that an emergency plan has been developed in collaboration with the Lebanese Ministry of Health in case the Israeli war expands into Lebanon. In a statement to "Sputnik" radio, he mentioned that "all working teams and medical staff have been trained to face any war that may be waged against Lebanon, and there is full readiness." Regarding medical supplies, he pointed out that "there is a stock sufficient for two months in case the war expands." He also noted the existence of an operations room in the Ministry of Health ready to coordinate with all hospitals across Lebanon if any injured persons encounter difficulties in receiving the necessary treatment. The president emphasized that "the medical situation in Lebanon is under control as long as the Israeli army does not target Lebanese hospitals as military objectives."
