Haniyeh: We are Committed to Efforts to End the War

Ismail Haniyeh, the head of the political bureau of the Islamic Resistance Movement "Hamas," confirmed that "everything being circulated about Hamas suspending negotiations is incorrect, and the movement continues its efforts to reach an end to the war according to the conditions it has set." Haniyeh's position came during a meeting with the head of the Lebanese-Palestinian Dialogue Committee, Bassel Hassan, in Qatar, as part of discussions regarding the issue of Palestinian refugees in Lebanon and the situation of UNRWA. He emphasized "Hamas's commitment to Lebanon's stability," appreciating "the significant efforts exerted by the Lebanese government on all fronts, and the efforts of the Lebanese-Palestinian Dialogue Committee concerning the protection of UNRWA and enhancing its role at this time." Haniyeh praised Qatar's role in the negotiations, hoping for a ceasefire as soon as possible, while expressing his strong confidence in the political and field situation of the Palestinian resistance.
