Today, Thursday, the "Village of Lights 2024" event launched, organized by the Sharjah Commerce and Tourism Development Authority, and it will continue until February 18 in front of the University City Hall in Sharjah. The village is held alongside the first "Sharjah Lights Festival 2024," which takes place from February 7 to 18, lighting up 12 locations and architectural landmarks in various cities and regions of Sharjah.

The Village of Lights features over 55 small and medium national projects, including restaurants and retail shops that reflect the creativity and leadership spirit characteristic of Sharjah, embodying the Authority's strategy to stimulate economic and tourism growth in the emirate by supporting national projects. The village offers visitors a unique experience, allowing them to enjoy a variety of activities and spaces, including illuminated tunnels, colorful balls resembling planets, giant mirrors that turn imagination into reality, as well as gaming areas, food zones, art exhibitions, and entertainment shows.

Khalid Jassim Al-Midfa, Chairman of the Sharjah Commerce and Tourism Development Authority, stated, "The Village of Lights complements the vision of the Sharjah Lights Festival by providing a variety of events and creative destinations that adorn the emirate’s landmarks. We are opening a family entertainment destination that meets the needs of Sharjah’s residents and visitors, while at the same time supporting youth initiatives and national projects to contribute to stimulating the national economy and enhancing creativity and innovation in various fields. We look forward to embodying the cultural, artistic, and family spirit that characterizes Sharjah and contributing to strengthening entrepreneurship in small and medium projects."

The Village of Lights provides its visitors with a unique experience that transports them to worlds where lights interact with sounds and movement via the multimedia tunnel (Hypersonic), which represents one of the latest lighting technologies and interactive media in the world. It allows visitors to immerse themselves in a dynamic and innovative atmosphere that transports them to an entirely different realm.

Additionally, the "Village of Lights" offers the public the opportunity to explore the "Cosmic Balls" through the "Experience Exhibition," featuring an immersive experience with colorful balls in a dedicated room filled with a sea of balls, utilizing advanced multimedia techniques and unique sound design. There is also the first-of-its-kind "Celestial Mirrors Room," featuring a set of massive mirrors creating stunning visual effects that lead visitors into an infinite world.

A visit to the "Village of Lights" is not complete without witnessing the incredible bubbles, a massive art piece consisting of hundreds of giant colored bubbles, along with several play areas where children can unleash their imagination and develop their skills, and a restaurant zone that houses over 50 establishments offering a wide range of modern and traditional cuisines over 18 consecutive nights.
