About two weeks ago, a "pickup truck driver" posted a video that went viral on social media in Egypt, claiming that some people threw stones at his vehicle on the road to Alamein towards Alexandria, resulting in a broken windshield, warning that this was an attempt to "steal." However, the Ministry of Interior revealed the circumstances of the incident, identifying the driver of the mentioned car. When questioned, he acknowledged that on 29/5/2024, while driving on the "Matrouh/Alexandria coastal road," he was surprised by a solid object hitting the car, which led to the broken windshield. He pulled over to the side of the road and filmed a video to achieve high viewership, denying the presence of any individuals at the scene or that anyone had been subjected to harm. He also pointed out that the stone impact on his car was merely due to another vehicle passing by on the road. Legal measures have been taken, and the prosecution is investigating the matter.
