The United Arab Emirates signed two memoranda of understanding today, Friday, with both the Slovak Republic and Hungary to enhance cultural cooperation. This took place during the official visit of the Minister of Culture, Sheikh Salem bin Khalid Al Qasimi, to Slovakia, Hungary, and Croatia, aimed at holding meetings and discussions with officials in the culture sector of the three countries to strengthen understanding and cultural cooperation. Sheikh Salem bin Khalid Al Qasimi emphasized that such meetings and discussions are a fundamental part of the UAE's cultural diplomacy with various countries, noting that the Ministry of Culture is working to enhance partnerships and cooperation opportunities with friendly nations to further support global cultural dialogue. He stated, "The United Arab Emirates is committed to supporting culture as a means to achieve diversity, peace, and social and economic development in our countries. Through signing the memoranda of understanding, we aim to strengthen the bonds of friendship and cooperation, and to preserve our collective cultural heritage."
