Israel and the U.S. Sign Agreement Moving Israel Closer to Visa Waiver Program

Israeli National Security Advisor Tzachi Hanegbi stated in a statement that Israel and the United States signed an agreement today, Wednesday, bringing Israel closer to joining the Visa Waiver Program. The statement noted that following the signature of Israeli President Isaac Herzog and U.S. Ambassador to Israel Tom Nides on the agreement, the program, scheduled to begin on July 20, will allow any American citizen to enter Israel, including Palestinian dual nationals residing in the occupied West Bank and Gaza Strip. Hanegbi added, "The State of Israel has taken another important step today in its efforts to join the U.S. visa waiver program."
