The Iraqi Ministry of Transport announced in a statement on Friday the operation of the first flight of Iraqi Airways to Tunisia aboard an Airbus 220. The ministry stated that the first flight departed on Friday, August 9, 2024. It noted that upcoming days will witness additional scheduled flights to Tunisia, based on previous discussions between Iraqi Transport Minister Razak Mohibis and his Tunisian counterpart Sara El-Zafarani El-Zenzari regarding the activation of the Baghdad - Tunisia route.
