The "Abdali Investment and Development Company" has completed the first phase of the "Abdali Project," coinciding with Jordan's celebrations of the silver jubilee of King Abdullah II's ascension to the throne. Businessman Baha Hariri expressed his gratitude to the Jordanian monarch, stating: "Twenty years have passed since the foundation stone for the Abdali Project was laid in the Jordanian capital, Amman, and today, after two decades, we have completed the first phase of this project and are moving forward towards the second phase. Here, I would like to extend my gratitude and appreciation to Jordan, led by His Majesty the King, for his cooperation, blessing, and unwavering support for the project, as well as his attention to detail and tireless efforts to overcome all obstacles wisely. Without him, this project would not have achieved such success."
Hariri added: "Thank you for your loyalty and commitment to all promises, and special thanks go to the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Abdali Company, Amer Al-Fayez, for his successful administrative efforts. I would also like to extend my thanks to the dear Jordanian people, who embrace the project with their noble presence and purposeful activities on both economic and social fronts."
The Chairman of the Company, Amer Al-Fayez, along with a delegation from the board, had visited the Jordanian monarch, where a comprehensive review of the development progress of the Abdali area was presented, which began in 2004, as well as the future steps for the second phase of the development that will begin soon, with the aim of enhancing Jordan's position as a primary destination for specialized tourism.
It is noteworthy that the Abdali Project in Amman was agreed upon by the late Prime Minister Rafik Hariri and the Jordanian monarch in 2004, prior to his assassination. Although work had halted after his assassination, Baha Rafik Hariri insisted on realizing this project as a continuation of the initiatives that Rafik Hariri aimed to achieve and in commitment to advancing his father's legacy in all aspects.
