Kuwait.. Work on the Durra Field to Begin Before the End of 2024

The CEO of the Kuwait Petroleum Corporation, Sheikh Nawaf Saud Al-Sabah, indicated today, Thursday, that updates on the engineering studies related to the Durra gas field will be completed by the end of this summer, after which actual work on the field will commence before the end of 2024. Sheikh Nawaf Al-Sabah stated: "We are still on the scheduled plan for the field, completing the updates on the engineering studies, and then we will begin the drilling and construction procedures." He clarified that Kuwait aims to reach a production capacity of 3.2 million barrels per day before the end of 2024, and then increase it to four million barrels by 2035. He noted that "the corporation intends to spend seven billion dinars ($22.92 billion) on oil production operations over the next five years."
