Collision Between Military Aircraft in France

Two French warplanes of the "Rafale" type crashed after colliding in mid-air in the northeast of the country today, Wednesday, according to authorities. A spokesman for the air force confirmed to reporters that the aircraft were from the Saint-Dizier air base. He added that one of the pilots ejected with a parachute and was found alive, but a trainer and a student pilot from the second aircraft are still missing, stating: "We continue to search for the second crew." The incident occurred in Colombey-les-Deux-Églises, a town in northeast France, according to local authorities. The military clarified that all three pilots are French citizens. It is noted that Ukraine is currently training pilots in France, but this is taking place at the Cazaux base (in the southwest of the country) and only on "Alpha Jet" light attack aircraft.
