Title: Blue Fuel Prices Rise Again in European Markets

Gas prices in the European market rose again in afternoon trading on Thursday amid concerns about disruptions in blue fuel supplies from Russia to Europe via Ukrainian territory. The September futures contracts on the TTF index rose by 0.4% to $445.7 per thousand cubic meters by 3:55 PM Moscow time, after previously declining to $442.2 earlier in the day. The Ukrainian attack on the Kursk region in southwestern Russia raised concerns in European markets regarding gas supplies from Russia to Europe through Ukrainian territory, leading to a rise in September futures contracts to their highest level since December 2023. The Sudzha pipeline remains the only remaining source for Russian gas through Ukraine to Europe, delivering 15 billion cubic meters annually, as the European Union has largely abandoned most Russian gas supplies under Western sanctions against Moscow.
