Moroccan striker Abdul Razak Hamdallah of Al-Ittihad has finalized his future, as he will join a new Saudi club in the coming hours, according to Saudi media reports. Hamdallah has been excluded from Al-Ittihad's plans ahead of the new season, as he did not travel with the team to Austria for a training camp.
The newspaper "Al-Jazeera" reported today, Wednesday, that Hamdallah will transfer to Al-Shabab. The paper explained, "Al-Shabab has reached an agreement with Al-Ittihad to acquire Hamdallah; the deal is finalized and will be officially announced within 48 hours."
Hamdallah had previously reached a preliminary agreement with Al-Taawoun, but the two sides differed on the duration of the contract, leading to the failure of the deal. Al-Shabab will be the third Saudi team for the 33-year-old Moroccan striker, who previously played for Al-Nassr and Al-Ittihad.
Hamdallah joined Al-Ittihad in January 2022 with a contract extending until June 2025. He is the second-best scorer in the history of the Saudi Professional League with 129 goals, needing 15 goals to equal the record held by Syrian Omar Al-Soma.
