A violent explosion rocked Hodeidah port in western Yemen on Saturday, specifically targeting fuel tank number 38 in the oil facilities. This explosion follows a week after the port was hit by a major Israeli attack, and just two days after extinguishing fires caused by that attack. Last Saturday, the Israeli army bombed Hodeidah port, Ras Khatib power station, and fuel tanks in the coastal city. According to local media, the Israeli bombardment resulted in the deaths of 9 people, injuries to 87 others, and 3 individuals reported missing, in addition to significant material losses. The Israeli attack came after the Houthi group announced targeting Tel Aviv with a drone. The Houthis are conducting attacks on ships in the Red Sea and the Arabian Sea, in a campaign they describe as solidarity with the Gaza Strip, which has been under Israeli bombardment for nearly 10 months.
