Real Madrid is preparing to replicate the scenario in which they signed Kylian Mbappé, the star of Paris Saint-Germain. The Spanish newspaper "AS" reported that Real Madrid secured Mbappé on a free transfer, with all funds primarily going to the French player.
The report added that this scenario is about to be repeated, as it aligns with Carlo Ancelotti's desire to acquire Canadian left-back Alphonso Davies from Bayern Munich. The newspaper confirmed that Real Madrid's management has decided to exercise patience and wait for another season until they can sign Davies for free after his contract expires in June 2025.
It mentioned that the 23-year-old Canadian player is set to receive a substantial signing bonus, similar to what Mbappé received. "AS" clarified that the Madrid club was prepared to pay 35 million euros for the player, but Bayern Munich refused to accept less than 50 million euros.
