Russian Minister of Industry and Trade, Anton Alikhanov, held discussions with Omani Minister of Commerce, Industry, and Investment Promotion, Qais Al-Yusuf, focusing on the prospects for developing industrial cooperation between the two countries. The meeting took place during the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, where Oman participates as a guest of honor.
According to a statement issued by the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade, the two ministers discussed the potential for industrial cooperation in sectors such as pharmaceuticals, oil and gas engineering, renewable energy, and shipbuilding. An agreement was reached to establish systematic cooperation between the ministries, as well as to organize a series of trade events aimed at strengthening business relations between Russian and Omani companies. The officials also highlighted the importance of expanding dialogue on the establishment of the Russian-Omani government committee for trade cooperation.
